Having been exempt for many years, farms are now becoming increasingly subject to environmental legislation. Many farmers find it hard to stay up to date with all the new infrastructure, operational, and paperwork requirements at the same time as keeping the farm operating on a day to day basis.

Falling behind on paperwork, or not staying up to date with legislation can have serious consequences for a farm, as non-compliance in many cases can lead to prosecution or loss of a proportion of single farm payment.

• Support with completing new permit applications, variations, or transfers for larger pig and poultry farms that are required to operate under an environmental permit
