Summary This course will help all those who produce hazardous waste to understand their legal responsibilities and ensure they are compliant with the Hazardous Waste Regulations. The course will cover: - Defining the producer and ownership - Duty of Care including Carriers and Brokers - EWC codes and defining hazardous waste - Landfill Regulations and landfill bans - Differences in NI and Scotland - Site registration - Storage requirements - Consignment processes - Consignment notes - Consignee returns - Consignment fees - Record keeping - Public register - Case studies - Consignment note exercises. The course will include a test and an attendance Certificate and will give delegates a good understanding of their liabilities and how to fulfil consignee and consignor responsibilities.

Summary This course will help those with responsibility for managing their company's Producer Responsibility registrations to understand how they work, how to get the data and what recent changes will mean. For each of the Packaging, WEEE and Batteries Regulations, the course will cover: - How does the system work - Recent consultation changes - What is obligated? - Collecting and calculating data - The evidence system - Update on evidence prices and the market in general - Workshop and opportunity to discuss specific issues. The course will include a test and an attendance Certificate and will give delegates a good understanding of whether they should be registered and if so, how to achieve compliance in the most cost effective way.
