Joint letter sent to Minister about PRN prices

05 JULY 2019

A letter has been sent to the Defra Minister Therese Coffey calling for regulatory change to the PRN system to prevent a repeat of this year's huge spike in plastic PRN prices.

Signed by the heads of the British Retail Consortium, the Food and Drink Federation, the British Plastics Federation and the Food and Drink Sector Council, the letter asks the Minister to consider a Compliance Fee for next year and beyond, citing the huge impact these costs have had on their sectors.
