We have now added a new page about the Extended Producer Responsibility system due to commence from 1 January 2023 with data collection by obligated producers. This extends to companies with a turnover above £1m and that handle more than 25 tonnes of packaging.
The new system is going to be complicated, especially for companies that have not been exposed the the current system. As more information comes out, we will add it to the page where we have already included all the guidance issued so far as well as slides from a recent Defra webinar showing the likely data recording screens and an intended Obligation Checker.
