The 2022 EPR Data Regulations required 6 monthly submission of producer data under the new EPR producer definition with the first set required by 1 September 2023 for the 1 Jan – 30 Jun period. The requirements were not only extremely complex, but also included a number of strange anomalies such as the definition of household packaging.
The deadline for submission of all the 2023 data was extended to 31 May 2024 and it is expected that the changes will be implemented before this date.
