Defra announce EPR payment amounts to local authorities – 29 July 2025

Defra has published a list of the amount that each local authority will receive in November 2025 from the EPR payments made by producers. These add up to a total of £1.473bn that councils must ring-fence the money to improve recycling and waste services. Presumably, however, that won’t stop councils then diverting existing money from these services to other areas of responsibility.
